Michelle Marie Packingham

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Marie Packingham, 39, of Ephraim, Utah. She unexpectedly passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2022. She fought a courageous and long battle with PXE and other medical ailments.

Michelle was born on Sept. 17, 1982, in Barstow, California. Her parents are Desiree and Rusty Neilson and Scott and Ann Packingham. Michelle is the oldest of 10 siblings, who adored her. She grew up in Sanpete County and attended school in Mt. Pleasant.

Michelle was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend. She was very loving, sweet, and kind, and would do anything for someone in need. She loved her music, dragons, gaming and was so talented in drawing. She loved creating things with her hands. She was a true friend and was the best aunt. She loved and cherished her nieces and nephews. She will be missed deeply, but we know she is in a better place, enjoying family she hasn’t seen for a long time.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Desiree and Rusty Neilson (Ephraim) and Scott and Ann Packingham (Las Vegas); grandmothers, Sara Dale Colebrook (Taylorsville, Utah) and Leilani King (Henderson, Nev.); 8 siblings, Amanda Neilson (Matthew Alan Jones) of Larksville, Penn.; Kristina Ann Neilson (Tracy Truman Barlow) of Ephraim, Utah; Stephanie Nichole Barlow (Joshua Lyman Barlow) of Fairview, Utah; Austin David Neilson of Ephraim, Utah; Angel Mariah Connelly (Trevor Jordan Connelly) of Kemmerer, Wyo.; Rex Allan Neilson (Mersadies Lynn) of Midvale, Utah; Sara Dale Neilson of Orem, Utah; and Matthew Reed Neilson of Ephraim, Utah; 2 stepbrothers, John and Tim Packingham; and 14 nieces and nephews: Raymond, Rylan, Madison, Trayden, Haven, Jeremy, Andrew, Riley, Safire, Jacoby, Bradley, Oakley, Ridge, and Anyastasia.

Michelle was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Charles Edward Colebrook, Jimmy David and Edna Lou Neilson, and Clem King; and Uncle Mike Packingham and Uncle Lauren.

The funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, at the 5th Ward LDS Chapel, 765 South 100 East, Ephraim, Utah. The viewing will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. and the funeral will start at 11 a.m.

Michelle’s family would like to thank all family and friends who have reached out at this difficult time. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com.
