Miss Manti royalty will be chosen from among six candidates on Saturday

      MANTI—The Miss Manti scholarship pageant will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in the Manti High School auditorium. There will be six beautiful and hardworking young ladies all hoping to be crowned the next Miss Manti.

      This year’s contestants are:

Tara Nickle, daughter of Alan and Alisa Cox. The title of her platform is “Undefiled Beauty,” and she will be performing a vocal solo entitled “I Don’t Know my Name.”

      Debbie Olsen, daughter of Milt and Becky Olsen. Her platform is titled “Social Media – A Tool, not a Crutch.” For her talent she will be performing a lyrical dance solo entitled “Leave a Light On” by Tom Walker.

      Kennedy Lundeberg, daughter of Kristofer and Rachael Lundeberg. Kennedy will be performing an original poem created by herself titled “Truly Beautiful.” She has chosen a platform titled “BeYOUtiful: Looking Beyond the Mirror.”

      Alexis Christensen, daughter of Jesse and Typhena Harmon. She will be performing a jazz dance solo to “Castle” by Halsey. She has chosen a platform titled “Care for our Veterans.”

      Isabela McMullen, daughter of Ryan and Angela McMullen. She has chosen a platform titled “Unite Families: Foster and Adopt.” Isabela will be performing a lyrical dance solo to “Three” by Sleeping at Last.

      Anjolee Jones, daughter of Jef and Shirlyn Jones. Anjolee will be performing a harp solo entitled “Evermore” from Beauty and the Beast. Anjolee has chosen a platform titled “See Beyond the Mask: Mental Health, There is More than Meets the Eye.”

                Tickets for the event are $7 per person, and children ages five and under are free. Tickets may be purchased from the contestants in advance for $6 per ticket.
