MT PLEASANT – The Miss Mt. Pleasant and Little Miss Royalties held a Princess Party Fundraiser last Wednesday at Sundercreek Farms Pumpkin Patch to help earn funds for next year’s scholarship pageant.

Sixty-one little girls attended the party where they got to decorate cookies, ride a tractor-train, pick pumpkins and even pet a unicorn. The money raised allows the Miss Mt. Pleasant pageant to give cash awards to those who place, as well as cash awards for bonus awards such as academic and Heart of Mt Pleasant, said pageant director Julie Reece.

The most important thing for the royalties is it gave them a chance to serve their community.

“I think that the royalty’s biggest accomplishments during their time should be done serving,” said Reese. “If I could make them do monthly service projects I would.”

Miss Mt. Pleasant and Little Miss Royalties at the Princess Pumpkin party (L-R): Lexee Shelley, Kaylee Curtis, Kayte Tajada, Remi Rae Peterson, Adilynn Shepherd, Tayisha Brotherson, Journey Toomey, Amelia Gunnell, Hope Shelley, Marlee Grozier and Ava Jensen.
