Nevaline ‘Nevie’ Travis Crompton

On June 12, 2026, as the sun rose over the mountains and shone brightly in her room at Golden Skyline Assisted Living, eight-year resident of Ephraim, Nevaline “Nevie” Travis Crompton, passed peacefully on her 106th birthday.

Nevie, a 68-year resident of Colton, California, was preceded in death by her parents, Elza Stewart Travis and Fronia Hester Cowan; her husband, Robert Leroy Crompton; her brother Eugene K. Travis; and her only child, son Robert Allen Crompton.

She is survived by her beloved niece Carroll Travis (David Kjar) of Ephraim, in whose care Nevie has been for the past eight years, and many Kentucky cousins.

Funeral service will be July 2, 2026, at Colton Funeral Home, in Colton, California, with burial at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery following. A memorial service is pending at Colton Bible Chapel.
