MT. PLEASANT— The 20022-23 North Sanpete Hawk student body officers were announced on Friday, April 29, with Fernando Montano being announced as the president.

North Sanpete 2022-23 student body officers (L-R): Fernando Montano, president; Emily Strait, vice president; Joshua Cox, secretary; Beau Jacobsen, activity agent; and Ava Lamb, media specialist.

“I chose to run because I am about the fun,” he said. “I want to make school fun and get people more involved.”

Emily Strait was nominated as vice president, Joshua Cox as secretary and Beau Jacobson as activity agent.

This next year there will be a new officer added to the mix, which is the media specialist. Ava Lamb will be the first one to hold this position.

The outgoing officers decided that due to all the information put out on social media, it would help to have one person over it.

“We see how important our media is affecting the student body to get more involved,” Jordan Holton, outgoing vice president, said. “By adding the media specialist, the school will now have someone that can overlook all the social media and help get more people involved.”
