





Six Fountain Green ladies will compete for Miss Lamb Day title

FOUNTAIN GREEN—Six contestants will compete for more than $5,000 in cash and scholarships in this year’s Miss Lamb Day Pageant on Saturday, March 18.
“I am excited, as the new Director of the Miss Lamb Day Pageant, to have such talented ladies compete this year,” said Abby Ivory, pageant director. “Along with representing Fountain Green in the community, they will reign over Lamb Day festivities on July 15.”
Ann Oldroyd, Daughter of Darrell and Collette Oldroyd and the late Calli Oldroyd, will compete on the platform, “Stop Bullying.” She will perform a lyrical dance to “Who Says” by Selena Gomez.
Hailei Bailey, daughter of Robert and Tamara Bailey, will compete on the platform, “Take the ‘Dis’ out of Disabilities: Killing the Stereotypes.” She will perform a violin medley for her talent.
Tyfanie Burnett, daughter of Shelly Arnold and Jim Burnett, will compete on the platform “Know your L.I.M.I.T.S. (Learning Importance of Mental Illness Towards Success)”. She will be performing a monologue from “Tarzan,” as Jane.
Denisha Ivory, daughter of Brandon and Amy Ivory, will be competing on the platform of “Never Alone: Helping Others Understand Anxiety.” She will be singing “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles as her talent.
Olivia Hanson, Daughter of Eddie and Elise Hanson, will be competing on the platform, “Patriotic Pride: Respecting our National Flag.” Her talent will be a jazz dance solo to “It’s about that walk,” by Prince.
Melanie Beck, daughter of Wade and Judy Beck, will compete on the platform “Go H.A.R.T. (go Healthy, go Active, go Right now and go Together). Her talents will be a contemporary ballet solo to “Negligence,” choreographed by Lindsay Folkman.
The pageant will be held at 7 p.m. at Fountain Green Elementary School, admission is $5.
