EPHRAIM—Snow College President Bradley J. Cook confirmed that there will be a mask mandate through commencement.
“Our position is we are going to continue on [with the mandate] through graduation,” Cook said.
Cook was responding to a question from Matt Griffin, Snow College student body president. He asked about the length of the mask requirement.
Cook acknowledged that it’s great that vaccines are available, but noted concern in existing health threats.
“We pay attention to the health authorities of the state,” Cook said.
Cook also said, “I can’t wait” for the day when masks are no longer needed.
“I am going to burn mine,” Cook said.
Also, the college is planning on a graduation celebration, Cook said.
Commencement ceremonies are scheduled May 6 for the Richfield Campus and May 7 for the Ephraim Campus.
