EPHRAIM – The Snow College men’s soccer team snapped a two-game losing skid Saturday with a 2-0 win at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada.

The Badgers opened the weekend road trip with a 1-0 overtime loss to Salt Lake Community College on Thursday, Sept. 3.
In the win over the Lizards, Oliver Fehintola scored for Snow College in the 51st minute of the match. He was assisted by Arthur Macri and Elijah Tenger.
Richard Henry iced the match for the Badgers with a goal in the 81st minute. He was assisted by Itsuki Matsuyama.
For the match, the Badgers won despite being outshot 7-5 by the Lizards. However, the Badgers held a 7-3 advantage on corner kicks.
The two matches were the first road matches of the season for Snow College. Previously, the Badgers had played three matches at home.
Snow College lost to Casper College, 3-2 in overtime (Aug. 27), beat Northwest College, 5-1 (Aug. 25), and beat Laramie County Community College, 4-3 (Aug. 19).
Snow College beat Northwest College 5-1 as the Badgers scored four second-half goals to pull away for a win over the Trappers. Fehintola scored twice in the second half to help lead the surge for the Badgers. Macri, who assisted Fehintola’s second goal, also scored for the Badgers.
Harrison Taylor capped the scoring for Snow College with a goal at the 87:12 mark of the match.
Snow College outshot Northwest College in the match 24-7, and held an 8-2 advantage on corner kicks.
Casper College beat Snow 3-2 in overtime, as the Thunderbirds handed Snow College its first loss of the season with a thrilling double overtime win.
Ewan Gordon scored in the 109th minute of the match to deliver the victory to Casper College.
Nick Gummow scored at the 4:45 mark of the match for Snow College. The Badgers’ other goal came from Zachary Lifferth in the 58th minute.
Snow College lost despite outshooting the Thunderbirds 31-10 in the match. Both teams had seven corner kicks.
Snow College beat, Laramie County Community College 4-3. Henry, Drew Brown and Lifferth accounted for the scoring for the Badgers.
The Badgers are back on the road this weekend with matches at the College of Southern Nevada (Thursday, Sept. 8) and at Community Christian College (Saturday, Sept. 10).
