The Snow College volleyball team picked up a big road win against the College of Southern Nevada in three straight sets, 25-14, 25-16 and 25-13, on Saturday, Oct. 23.

The Lady Badgers were coming off a tough stretch where they lost three out of four matches on the road to CSI, nationally ranked SLCC and nationally ranked USU-E.

“It was an impressive offensive show for the Badgers,” said Snow Coach Mike Daniel. “Everyone was hitting well against CSN.”

The Badgers were firing on all cylinders: Sophomore KJ Strong hit an astounding .909 with 10 kills and zero errors. Macie Gordon hit .667 with 4 blocks and 5 digs. Macie short added 28 assists and 5 digs. Freshman Hannah Smith hit an impressive .364 with 5 kills and 6 digs.

Snow College will be at home this week with big matches against SLCC and CSI in preparation for the Region XVIII Volleyball Tournament that starts next week in Rangely, Colo. The Badgers currently hold the No. 3 seed in the Scenic West and a national ranking of 10. The Badgers host SLCC on Thursday at 6 p.m. and CSI on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Horne Activity Center.
