ROCK SPRINGS, Wyoming—Snow College Women’s basketball team had a loss and two wins last week at the Western Wyoming Classic.

Snow College started off their season, and the tournament, in a rough way with a loss against the Utah All-Stars, 67-72, on Thursday, Nov. 2.

Despite the loss, the Badgers redeemed themselves on Friday, Nov. 3 against the Northwest Wyoming College (NWC) with a satisfying victory 77-61. The team continued with an easy win on Saturday, Nov. 4 against Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC), 71-42.

In the game against the Utah All-Stars, freshman Megan Carr led the team with 14 points as well as nine rebounds. Freshman Savannah Lucero scored 13 points.

Despite all the Badgers could do, they lost the game by only five points with a score of 67-72.

Friday’s game against NWC ended on a better note for the Badgers.

Carr once again scored double figures with 17 points, along with sophomore Harley Hansen who scored 14 points, and freshmen Paige Farnsworth and Mackenzie Royce, who each scored 10.

The game ended with a well-deserved victory to the Badgers, 77-61.

Snow College wrapped up the Wyoming weekend Saturday with their second victory, against WWCC.

Carr led the Badgers once again with a double-double 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Savannah Domgaard scored 16 points.

The Badgers ended the game against WWCC with a strong triumph, 71-42.

This week, the Lady Badgers battled Central Wyoming College on Wednesday  in Riverton, Wyoming (results unavailable as of press time).

On Friday this week, the Lady Badgers will participate in the First National Bank Classic in Gillette, Wyoming.
