Here’s how each boys soccer team performed last week:
GUNNISON VALLEY
BLANDING—Gunnison boys soccer picked up their sixth straight win and remained undefeated with a dominating 8-0 win over San Juan last Tuesday.
The Bulldogs moved to 10-1 on the season and are 10-0 in the 2A South region.
Juniors Bryson Sorensen and Jon Willden scored two goals apiece in the winning effort. Willden was everywhere on the field, adding three assists to his scoring efforts.
Gunnison’s next week will be a tough one as they face Parowan at home on Tuesday, then travel to face Millard on Thursday, followed by a rematch with San Juan on Friday.
MANTI
CEDAR CITY–After a long and arduous effort, Manti boys soccer fell just short down south.
The Templars fell in a shootout loss to Canyon View, tying at the end of regulation, 1-1. Canyon View picked up the win after a long period of penalty kicks, 7-6.
Manti will be at home this Friday to take on Delta.
NORTH SANPETE

MT. PLEASANT—The Hawks were dealt a tough hand in facing two region leaders in a row.
North Sanpete boys soccer struggled immensely last week as the Hawks lost their fourth and fifth straight games. They were soundly beaten by St. Joseph, 8-0, last Monday before Juab came to town and shut out the Hawks again, 4-0, last Friday.
The Hawks have been shut out for the third straight time and in four of their last five games. They have scored one goal in the month of April.
North Sanpete will face Union at home this Wednesday and then will be just down the road on Saturday for an “away” game against Wasatch Academy.
