VOLLEYBALL

MANTI—The Manti High  girls volleyball team (2-14-1, 0-7 conf.) played a tournament game vs. Panguitch on Oct. 6, losing 2-0 (14-25, 17-25).

They will next host Grand County (11-10, 4-0 conf.) on Oct. 13, and San Juan (14-7, 7-2 conf.) on Oct. 14.

 

MT PLEASANT—The North Sanpete High girls volleyball team (10-9, 5-2 conf.) played a tournament game vs. Richfield (20-6, 8-2 conf.), winning 2-1 (14-25, 17-25), and then twice vs. Panguitch, losing both, 2-0.

They will next host San Juan on Oct. 13 and Grand County on Oct. 14.

 

GUNNISON—The Gunnison Valley High girls volleyball team (6-9, 3-6 conf.) traveled to Parowan on Oct. 5, winning the game 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-14).

They will next host Beaver (4-13, 2-5 conf.) on Oct. 12.

 

SOCCER

MANTI—The Manti High girls soccer team (13-1-0, 10-0 conf.) played Waterford (9-1-2, 7-1 conf.) on Oct. 5, and ended with a 2-2 tie.

 

MT PLEASANT—The North Sanpete High girls soccer team (5-7-1, 2-6 conf.) traveled to South Sevier (0-13, 0-10 conf.) on Oct. 3 and won their game, 7-0.

 

GUNNISON—The Gunnison Valley High School girls soccer team (4-8-1, 2-6 conf.) played North Sevier (0-8, 0-7 conf.) on Oct. 5 and won 7-0.

 

SOCCER PLAYOFFS

The Utah girls soccer playoffs begin on Oct. 11. Manti will host Summit Academy on Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. If Manti wins, it will host the winner of the Grantsville/American Leadership Academy game Oct. 14 at 4 p.m.

North Sanpete will travel to Maeser Prep on Oct. 11 for its first playoff game. If the Lady Hawks win, they will travel to meet the winner of the Emery/Carbon game on Oct. 14.

Gunnison Valley will play its first game on Oct. 14.

The state playoff semifinals will take place on Oct. 20 at Jordan High School. The finals will be played on Oct. 21 and in Rio Tinto Stadium.
