MANTI—In Manti High’s only volleyball match last week, the Templars lost a home contest to North Sevier, 3-0.

In the first game, kills by Lariah Rosser and Marquel Justice kept the score close in the early going, but North Sevier pulled away to win 25-11.

Game Two saw the Templars getting off to a slow start. Rosser and Justice each got kills and then teamed up for a block to get Manti on the scoreboard, but it was not enough as the Wolves went on to win that game 25-8.

The final game saw North Sevier build a double-digit lead before Kjerstin Birch and Mackenzie Wade got a point for the Templars on a block and then Wade scored on a kill. The Wolves then dominated the late going for the 25-9 win.

This week the Templars traveled to Emery on Tuesday Oct. 4; results were not available at press time. They will also travel to Richfield this weekend to participate in the SVC (Sevier Valley Center) Tournament.
