FAIRVIEW—The North Bend Entertainers will be presenting the suspenseful play Wait Until Dark at 7 p.m. at the Peterson Dance Hall in Fairview on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-23.

Forty-seven years after Wait Until Dark premiered on Broadway, screenwriter Jeffrey Hatcher has adapted Frederick Knott’s 1966 original, giving it a new setting. In 1944 Greenwich Village, Susan Hendrix, a blind yet capable woman, is imperiled by a trio of men in her own apartment. As the climax builds, Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, but she and her tormentors must wait until dark to play out this classic thriller’s chilling conclusion.
Directed by A. Shepherd of Fountain Green, the cast includes Ryan Cox, Hillary Smith and Kenny Cox of Fairview, Bryan Spencer of Mt. Pleasant, and Marc Anderson and Maddie Anderson of Fountain Green.
North Bend Entertainers is a non-profit community organization born out of a need to save the Fairview Dance Hall.
