Driver killed in rollover crash on SR-132 in Nephi Canyon

FOUNTAIN GREEN—A Salt Lake City-area driver was killed Sunday night after being ejected from a pickup truck during a rollover crash on State Route 132 in Nephi Canyon.

According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Zach Randall, the crash was reported at 8:54 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, near mile marker 14 on SR-132.

Randall said the driver was traveling westbound from Sanpete County toward Juab County in a 2005 Chevrolet pickup when the vehicle was involved in the accident, which involved multiple rollovers near the Sanpete County line.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, Randall said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders from UHP, Juab County Sheriff’s Office and Nephi Fire Department responded to the scene. UHP has not released the driver’s name pending notification of family members.

The crash remains under investigation.
