Fifty-one tennis players descend on Manti tennis courts for Fourth of July tournament

The annual Manti Fourth of July tennis tournament was a great success.  Even though the temperatures were in the high nineties, 51 participants joined in the action.  Players from around Utah and some from out of state were involved.

This annual event featured doubles with partners drawn at random and two out of three mini sets.  The youth played a regular six game set. Flight “A” featured several local players with college experience.  Matt Braithwaite and Jacob Hatch emerged as the eventual winners.

Flight “B” was composed of a variety of ages and included some mixed double teams with the two oldest participants Scott Nielson and Doug Dyreng as winners.

The youth division featured boys and girls of many ages with Luke Anderson coming out as the first place winner.  Trophies and medals were awarded to the winners.

A great thanks to Manti City, Manti High School and the Fourth of July Committee for hosting the event at the Manti High School tennis courts.
