GUNNISON—There just isn’t much going right for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Gunnison girls’ basketball team lost their fourth and fifth straight games last week in blowout fashion, falling to North Sevier, 65-23, last Tuesday, then to North Summit, 51-24, last Thursday. The Lady Bulldogs’ overall record moved to 4-11, with an 0-4 record in Region 16.

It was the sixth straight game the Lady Bulldogs had scored less than 30 total points. They were held completely scoreless in the fourth quarter against North Sevier.

Gunnison did not have a single scorer in double figures the whole week. Senior Raven Pickett led the Lady Bulldogs with 9 points against the Wolves, while senior Gracey Mickelson made a trio of 3-pointers to lead Gunnison with 9 points against the Braves.

The Lady Bulldogs will continue into the second half of their region slate as they take on Millard on Tuesday. They’ll then travel to face North Sevier again next Tuesday.
