EPHRAIM—The Snow College Badgers hosted the number one team in the Scenic West Athletic Conference this past weekend and did what had only been done once before, hand the Golden Eagles of the College of Southern Idaho a loss.

Snow won just one game of the double headers on Friday and Saturday, but it was just the second loss of the season for the Golden Eagles.

Snow lost on Friday 4-10 and 0-8 and again on Saturday 1-10, but in the second game on Saturday the Badgers rallied to win 5-1.

“The girls are working hard to get better every day,” said new Head Coach Savannah Lindsay. “We have a lot of fight as a team, and I think we are really poised to finish the season strong.”

The Badgers were led to the win by Storming Gee who hit a grand slam and Kaci Smith went the distance in the circle to pitch the shutout.

“The girls have been through a lot, but I think we are heading in a good direction,” said Lindsay. “We started off the weekend slow, but once we started focusing, we were able to get things falling in place.”

The Badgers still have three more weekends of home games as they host USU-E this weekend Apr. 15-6 and Southern Nevada the following weekend Apr. 22-23 and then finish the regular season with Salt Lake Community College on May 6-7.

Friday games are at 1 and 3 p.m. with Saturday games at noon and 2 p.m.
