RICHFIELD—After two losses against Manti last week, North Sanpete traveled south and took on Richfield, prevailing 9-2 over the Wildcats.

Junior Bree Allred got things started for the Lady Hawks with a double in the second inning to tie the game at 2-2, followed by a double by sophomore Dally Bailey to score another run and take a 3-2 lead.

Bailey hit another double in the fourth inning, scoring two runners. In the fifth inning, sophomore Indigo North hit a home run over center field to distance the Hawks from the opponent and secure the victory.

North Sanpete moved to 4-12 overall, with a 1-3 mark in region play.

North Sanpete will take on Union on Tuesday (after press time) and will host Carbon on Thursday.

The Lady Hawks then go north to face Maple Mountain on Friday and will travel to Judge Memorial on Monday.
