Our loving son and brother passed away at his home in Fountain Green, Utah on Oct. 4, 2016. Mike was born Feb. 28, 1951 in Nephi, Utah. His parents are Chesley and Berneitta Johnson.
Mike attended the public schools in the North Sanpete School District. After graduation from high school he moved to Salt Lake and worked there for two years. He then started missing Sanpete County and returned to Fountain Green where he has made his home for 45 years.
Mike worked at the Moroni Turkey Processing Plant for 15 years. He then took a job for Kimo’s Camera before moving to the Nature Sunshine Company in Spanish Fork, where he worked for 16 years. Mike made many friends at his employment in Spanish Fork, Moroni and Nephi.
Mike loved to travel and he also had a passion for old cars, photography and music. He loved visiting with family and friends.
Since his retirement he has been his mother’s care giver. He will certainly be missed by the family and his close acquaintances.
Mike is survived by his mother, Berneitta Johnson and two brothers, Keith (Lois) Johnson, Spanish Fork; Gary (SueAnn) Johnson, Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Chesley Johnson.
Funeral services were held Oct. 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Fountain Green LDS Chapel with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
