New book club starting at Fairview City Library

FAIRVIEW—A new book club is starting at the Fairview City Library. The book club, named Books and Bites, will meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month. A new book will be featured each month, and snacks that relate to the book will be served. The library is located at 75 S. State St in Fairview.

Anyone age 16 and up is welcome to join Books and Bites, and both fiction and nonfiction books will be included as the monthly book. The book list is set through October, but members are encouraged to submit book ideas for the group after October.

In August, the club will read “The Grapes of Wrath” by John Steinbeck. In September, members will read “Theo of Golden” by Allen Levi, followed by “Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson in October.

Whenever possible, copies of the books will be ordered through the Utah State Library Division’s Book Buzz program. The program lends book sets to book clubs, book groups, libraries, organizations, schools and community centers.

Copies of “The Grapes of Wrath” will be available for checkout at the Fairview City Library beginning Saturday, July 25. If you have any questions, please call the library at (435) 427-9305.
