Thursday, Oct. 1
SEBRA Barrel Race—Sanpitch Events is hosting their SEBRA Barrel Racing Jackpot at the ConToy Arena in Mt. Pleasant. They will be holding their races on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month, ending in April. These races are open to everyone. You can enter online or at the gate at 5:15 p.m. on race days. They will be doing an open, youth, and mini race, along with pole bending. Find more information at sebrajackpot.com.

Friday, Oct. 2
Casino Star Theater Concerts—There are a few upcoming concerts scheduled at the Casino Star Theater in Gunnison, and the tickets go on sale Oct. 2. The Bar D Wranglers will be performing Nov. 7 at 4 and 7:30 p.m. There will be a BBQ dinner available as well. Dec. 15 is when Kurt Bestor will be doing a Christmas performance, which is described as “the beloved Utah holiday tradition”. His concert will also be at 4 and 7:30 p.m. Get tickets before they sell out!

Spring City After Dark—Baxter Manor and Spring City Main Street Alliance are giving history and cemetery tours throughout the month of October. The tours start at 6:30 p.m. at the Baxter Manor, 12 W. 200 N in Spring City. The tours will include hayrides to and from the cemeteries, fascinating history, tales of local legends, and stories that aren’t always found in history books. Various local businesses will also be open for treats and dining after the tours. Tickets are $25 per person, and a portion of the ticket sales will be going towards a new historical marquee and memorial display at Old Pioneer Cemetery. Friday, Oct. 2-Saturday, Oct. 3
Central Utah 2-Man Shootout—On Oct. 2 the Palisade State Golf Course is hosting a 2-man scramble at 1 p.m. The Cove View Golf Course will be hosting a 2-person Best-Ball at 9 a.m. the following day, Oct. 3. The entry fees are $150 per person/$300 per team. There will be payouts each day, plus payouts for the best team overall. Call either course to get signed up.

Arapeen OHV Trail—Have a great weekend adventure on the 4th Annual Autumn Jeep Adventure on Utah’s Skyline Drive. On day one you will be guided from Fairview to Ephraim through great fall scenery, scenic stops, and plenty of time to enjoy the ride. On day two you will continue the adventure on your own while exploring Manti and Mayfield Canyons and the 600-mile Arapeen OHV Trail System. Saturday, Oct. 3
Sanpete Viking Boffer Battles—Bring the kids, grab a boffer sword from the loaner rack, and storm the shield-wall! The battles are free to attend and take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. at Pioneer Park in Ephraim. Age 8 and up are welcome to attend with parent supervision. Monday, Oct. 5
Flu Vaccination Clinic—The Central Utah Health Department will be having a drive-thru flu vaccination clinic at the Mt. Pleasant Fire Station from 3-6 p.m. There will be no cost with most insurances, $25 with no insurance. Cash, check, cards, and HSA are all accepted forms of payment. They do ask that participants wear a short-sleeved shirt, or shorts for younger children.

Tuesday, Oct. 6
North Sanpete Coalition Meeting—The North Sanpete Cares Coalition will be meeting at noon at the Mt. Pleasant City Hall. These meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month and last about an hour. The subject of the meetings varies, but are based around substance abuse prevention, opioid awareness, and improving local mental health resources for the community.

Snow College Planetarium—The Planetarium will be showing “Unveiling the Invisible Universe” at 7pm and “Stepping on Other Planets” at 8 p.m. Both are ticketed shows, which you can reserve at https://snow.edu/academics/science_math/planetarium/. Tickets are free.

Thursday, Oct. 8-Saturday, Oct. 10
Snow College Department of Theatre: A Year With Frog & Toad—The Snow College Department of Theatre will be presenting A Year With Frog & Toad for three consecutive days, October 8, 9, and 10 at the Eccles Center in Ephraim. This funny, heartwarming musical follows two best friends through a year of adventures, mishaps, and plenty of laughs. Showtimes will be at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 8-9. Oct. 10 will have a 2 p.m. matinee and the 7:30 p.m. show. Tickets cost twelve dollars for youth and seniors and fourteen dollars for adults. Saturday, Oct. 10
Lacy J. Dalton Concert—The Casino Star Theatre on 78 South Main in Gunnison is hosting the classic country legend, Lacy Dalton. She is best known for hits like “16th Avenue”, “Crazy Blue Eyes”, “Hard Times”, “Takin’ It Easy”, and “Black Coffee”. She has earned 20 Billboard Top 40 country singles and toured with legends like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams. The concert is set to start at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available at casinostartheatre.com/tickets.html; they are $30 for premium seating and $24 for classic seating.
