RANGELY, Colo.—Traveling to Rangely, Colo., for the second time this season, the Snow College men’s basketball team avenged an earlier loss at Colorado Northwestern College and defeated the Spartans 97-69 last Thursday, Feb. 15.
The Badgers built their lead during an impressive 11-0 run in the first half, giving them a 27-6 lead that they would not surrender the rest of the game.
Rob Nielson, Snow’s coach, said defensive effort led to the victory: “We played much better defensively, which led to some fast breaks and easy baskets.”
Logan Hokanson led all scorers with 21 points, assisted by Stockton Shorts with 16 and Romain Boxus with 15.
The Badgers have two regular season games left in the year, traveling to Twin Falls to face College of Southern Idaho today and hosting Utah State University–Eastern on Saturday in Ephraim. Tipoff for the regular season finale is 5 p.m.
