RANGLEY, COLO.—Snow College’s women’s basketball defeated Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) for the third time this season on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Before the game, Mike Russell, Snow’s head women’s basketball coach, explained, “We can’t overlook Colorado based on the outcome of the last two games. We will treat this game like any other game. We will show up and do what we do.”

And the Lady Badgers did what they did last week, more than doubling the Lady Spartans’ score.

In the first quarter, the Lady Badgers pushed ahead with a 16-point lead and ran with it. By halftime, Snow furthered their lead to 28 points, 39-11.

The Lady Badgers brought their lead to 33 points in the third quarter, 55-22, and finished the game with an easy victory in the lead by 42 points, 77-35.

Of Snow’s 77 points, 24 came from the Badgers’ 16 steals.

Kayla Hugie led Snow with 13 points for the game-high, with Savannah Domgaard contributing 12 points.

Snow’s victory was their 21st win of the season, and the Lady Badgers are ranked No. 24.

“Our motto is to take one game at a time,” said Russell. “We are really playing for something, so we just need to keep focused.”

The Lady Badgers are in Idaho Falls to play the College of Southern Idaho today at 5:30 p.m.
